Environmental impact

Some of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources' achievements in environmental impact to achieve Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030:

• More than sixty-three thousand seven hundred and twenty-eight (63,728) transactions were completed through electronic services, which led to a reduction in the use of paper and ink and contributed to the preservation of six hundred and thirty-seven thousand two hundred and eighty (637,280) sheets of paper, which is equivalent to 76 trees.
• Reducing reliance on paper has contributed to environmental conservation, through:
• Conserving millions of liters of water, as paper production consumes large amounts of water (one A4 sheet consumes about 10 liters).
• Reduced electricity consumption for printing, scanning, paper storage, and air conditioning.
• Reduced fuel consumption and emissions by reducing coil conduction.
• Reduce landfill and incineration use by reducing shredded or archived paper.
• The Ministry's policies have contributed to reducing carbon emissions by 160 tons of carbon dioxide per year, equivalent to planting 2,600 trees.
